April 7.— f INS >- Final rubdowns were g^iven 200 bicycle enthusiasts today as trains prepare for qualification trials in Indiana University's fourth annual Little 500 drivers. Saturday, four men teams will compete for place in the 33-team race day field. They will be station* d by time required to pedal four times around the track. Qualifications wil ire run from
8 a. m. to 4 p. m. . The 33 fastest teams will compete in the 200-lap (50 mile) race in Memorial Stadium at .ilommgton. May 8. Everything is donated for th-; race. Even the members of the competing teams must pay to get into the stadium on race day. Proceeds then go to the IU foundtaion for scholarship distribution to students working their way through school.
Nearly $23,000 has been distributed $100 scholarships in three yeafs as a result of the i ace. All new bicycles, totally val ued at $4,000. have been given to the Foundation for the race by the Cleveland Welding Company. U.- S.
