"Oh that cut don't amount to much I guess I'll Ut it go. It won't cause any trouble." This careless attitude toward tires unfortunately Is common with a large proportion of motorists. They neglect and abuse their tires shamelessly and thou when they collapse before a satisfactory mileage has been givon they blame everyone but tlu mselves. It has boon estimated, says the Diamond Rubber Co., Inc.. that the

amount wasted by American motor- j ists every year thrugh abuse of j tires would be sufficient to construct !

an improed highway from New York to Fan Francisco and return or to pay the annual payroll of the entire automotive Industry. Tire abuses which result in this enormous waste are under-infia tion.

brushes misting? If it makes a gap in the distributer, wiil not on.j gap intensify the other? NOVIi'lh If the cylinder does not miss .x-j-IMioi8 it is becauso the spring makes contact with the distributer arm or segment. This will burn away or break and the engine will miss explosions. If there is any rap in the distributer it will be too great for the spark to Jump when encine is running slowly, as tho magneto then generates les3 current. The spark plug Kap Is s. t small on thi.account, and an additional gap in the distributer adds too rauch resistance. So replace brush as soon as possible. .
