According to Smith, he then ran for help. He said Aired must have fired the shot which struck Robinson. Police say they have two witnesses who saw him running away with the shotgun. Officers have been unable to locate Aired, who had fled when they arrived.
FRANK STARKS
Frank Starks, 56, 2434 Indianapolis, died March 16 at St. Vincent’s hospital. Services were held March 19 in the Patton Funeral Home, with burial in New Crown. A native of Sadlersville, Tenn., he had lived here 40 years and had worked a year as a truck driver for the John .Tones Gravel Co. Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Nannie Starks; a daughter. Miss Hazel Starks; a son, Rudolph Starks, serving in the Air Force; two sisters and two brothers.

Coreer Soldier Dies in Detroit . A former Indianapolis resident, M/Sgt. Homer Eugene Thomas, died recently in his Detroit home. Born here 67 years ago, he attended Tuskogee Institute in Alabama before joining the armed
forces.
A career soldier, Sgt. Thomas was a veteran of the Mexican Insurrection, both World Wars and saw service in Hawaii and Liberia. While in Liberia, he was as- | signed to drive a jeep for Franklin D. Roosevelt. As a result of that assignment, his picture appeared with the late president’s on a Liberian postage stamp in 1945. Survivors include the widow, Willa Mae, a son, Bartow Thomas, and four grandchildren, all of Detroit, and two Indianapolis sisters, Mrs. Frances Bowles, a teacher at School 26, and Mrs. Ellen Meriwether, prominent musician.

Vz teaspoon salt 1 Vs cups (4%-ouncebox) MINUTE RICE 2 V2 cups CARNATION 3-Minute Cheese Sauce 1 cup (7-ounce can) tuna, drained and flaked

1 % cups (large can) 2 teaspoons dry mustard

CARNATION Evaporated Milk Vi teaspoon salt
2 cups (about 8 ounces) grated process American cheese

Bring water, pepper, onion, pimiento and salt to boil in saucepan. Add rice and mix just to moisten all the rice. Cover; remove ffrom heat and let stand about 5 minutes! Meanwhile, prepare Carnation 3-Minute Cheese Sauce (right). Add tuna to sauce. Arrange hot rice mixture in mounds on plates. Serve tuna-cheese sauce over rice. Makes six servings.
Simmer Carnation, salt and mustard in saucepan over medium heat to just below boiling (about 2 minutes). Add cheese. Stir over medium heat until cheese melts (about 1 minute longer).
