THEODORA B. HARRIS HARRIS — In loving remembrance of my dear wife, Theodora B. Harris, who passed away two years ago, April 28. 1939. ETERNAL FRIENDSHIP Who once has had a friend has found The link ’twixt mortal and divine; Though now she sleeps in hallowed ground. She lives in memory’s sacred shrine; And there She freely moves about, A spirit that has quit the clay. And in the times of stress and doubt Hustains her friend throughout the day. No friend we ever love can ever die; The outward form but disappears; * I know that all my friends are nigh Whenever 1 am moved to tears. And when my strength and hope are gone, The friends, no more, that once I know, Return to cheer and urge me on Just as they always used to do. They whisper to me in the dark Kind words of counsel and of cheer When hope has flickered to a spark I feel their gentle spirits near. And Oh! because of them 1 strive With all the strength that I can call To keep their friendship still alive And to be worthy of thegi all. Death does not end our friendships true; We are all debtors to the dead; There, wait on everything we do The splendid souls who’ve gone ahead. To tjiem I hold that we are bound By double pledges to be fine. Who once has had a friend has found The link twixt mortal and divine. —CHARLES K. HARRIS.
INDIANAPOLIS FOSTER — In loving remembrance of our dear mother, Mrs. Rosa Foster, who passed away one year ago, April 22, 1940. When a mother breathes her last farewell The stroke means more than
tongue can tell. The world seems quite another place Without the smile of mother’s face. And while she lies in peaceful sleep Her memory we shall always keep. —The Family.
SMITH — In loving remembrance of our dear daughter and sister, Georgia Lee Smith, who passed
away three years ago, April 26, 1938. At twilight when twilight hour draws And sunset flames the sky, We think of you, dear And the happy days gone by. Thoughts of you come drifting back Within our dreams to stay. To know that you are resting When the twilight ends the day. Sadly missed by The Family.

Ever Brewer Hudson’s rendition of the “Crucifixion” by Payne in the Easter vesper program at Wesley Chapel last Sunday night thrilled the capacity audience and was rated by several critics present as one of the best on a memi orable program. She is considering several offers for concert work j this summer. “Zanzibar” Actors Guarded Against Catching Cold. Unusual precautions were taken to safeguard the health of the i principals and extras working in Paramount’s “Road to Zanzibar.” On a huge stage jungle scenes were filmed with Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Dorothy Lamour and Una Merkel and 200 ‘‘African” extra players. A first-aid office was set up in the stage, with two on the job armed with sprays, pills and all manner of preventatives. Because all the “Africans” worked breech-clouts and beads, the stage was heated to mid-summer temperature. At the first sneeze by any member of the company, the doctor rushed the guilty person to the first-aid room. Heavy outside clothing was provided for the extras and a guard stood at the stage door to see tha* none of the nearly naked "natives” left without being properly clad.
