SUBSCRIBE FOR THE EYANSVILLE JOURNAL. A change has recently been made in the proprietorship of the above paper, which, we cope, will commend it to the increased sup port and confidence of the Opposition to the present Administration in this part of the country. For several years it has not occu pied a very definite position in relation to political matters ; bat, hereafter, it shall be no fault of the new proprietors if its aid is not counted on with certainty in opposition to that great and alarming evil Lecompton Democracy and all other malign influences which seek to undermine the foundations of the government, and enslave a free people. The course of the present Administration has been totally subversive of constitutional liberty, and it is the sacred duty of every patriot to aid in banishing it from the place it desecrates. In this holy crusade, we ex pect to engage, and invite the co-operation and encouragement of every member of the Opposition to that Administrat ion in this region of country. It is obligatory on the citizens of this section it is for their best interests to aid in driving from power that elfish and rapacious Lecompton party, (misnamed the "National Democracy,") which paralyzes our manufacturing and mechanical interests, throws a withering blight upon our agricultural capabilities, by making them dependent upon an uncertain foreign market neglects our River and Harbor improvements, thus rendering navigation insecure and unprofitable encourages foreign imports by its "free trade" policy, and brings upon us & terrible and enduring financial revulsion, at a time when our country is at profound peace with the world indulges in the most criminal profligacy, fanaticism, and extravagance, thus belieing its professions of economy, and throwing a tremendous burden of debt upon a people who are already oppressed to the last point of endurance exercises a system of proscription, terrorism, espionage, and bribery, that would disgrace an absolute despotism opposes those two great measures, (a Pacific Railroad and a Homestead Law.) designed for the best interests of the West, and the whole country foments discord and hatred between the North and South, and keeps in k continual turmoil the people of each section, who ought to live together in harmony ; in short, that ptrty which takes particular pains to do that which it ought not to do, and leaves undone that which it ought to do. Will not the people of this region arise, and assist in destroying this " Pandora's box" of all evils? The next year is to be a season of startling interest and significance in public affairs. A new Administration is to be put in power ; several important questions oi public policy are to be discussed and decided ; our State officers are to be changed ; a new representative for this district in Congress is to be elected ; a new Legislature is to be chosen, which wiH have to re-d'i3trict the State for Congressional purposes, elect a United States Senator, and do other highly important business ; and it may be that the longer endurance of the Union, even, is to be tested. On all these matters we expect to speak freely our sentiments, taking the best interests of this people as a guide in our efforts. ' Business Matters shall receive particular attention in this paper. We desire, and will endeavor, to make the Journal a reliable source of commercial information. Manufactures and Agriculture those means of wealth on which we are all dependent shall also receive due attention at our bands; and the development of our unenualleil advantages shall be urged with i real. . - . As a Family Paper, containing choice selections of literary matter, for perusal in the quiet of home, we promise that this journal shall be equal to any. No one remedy is louder called for by the necessties of the American people than a sure aud pafe cure for Fever and Ague. Such a remedy we are now enabled to offer, with a perfect certainty that it will eradicate tbe disease, and with assurance, founded on proof, that no harm can arise from its use iuany quantity. That which protects from or prevents this disorder mast be of immense service in the communities where it prevails. Prevention is better than cure, for the patient escapes the risk which he must ran in violent attacks of this baleful diBtemper. This ' Cure" expels the miasmatic poison of Fever and Ague from the system and prevents the development of the disease, if taken on the first approach of its premonitory symptoms. It is not only the best remedy ever yet discovered for this class of complaints, but also the cheapest. The large quantity we supply for a dollar brings it within the reach of everybody ; and in biliious districts where Fever and Ague prevails, every body should have it and use it freely both for cure and protection. It is hoped that this price will place it within the reach of all the poor as well as the rich. A great superiority of this reuiedy over any other discovered for the speedy and certain cure of Intermittent! is, that it contains no Quinine or mineral, cousequcntly it produces no quinism or other injurious enects whatever upon the constitution. Those cured by it are Jeft as healthy as if they bad never had the disease Fever and Ague i' .ot alone the consequence of the miasmatic poi ,u. A great variety of disorders arise from J a irritation, among which are Neuralgia, KheuuiatUm, Gout, Headache, Blind. Lets, Toothache, Earache, Catarrh, Asthma, Palpi, tation Painful Affection of the Spleen, Hysterics, Pain in the Bowels, Colic, Paralysis, and Derangement of the Stomach, all of which, when originating in this cause, put on the Intermittent type, or become periodical. The "Cure " expels the poison from the blood, and consequently cures tueni all alike. It is -a invaluable protection to immigrants and persons traveling or temporarily residing in the malarious districts. It taken occasionally or daily while exposed to the iniecton, that will be excreted from the system, and caunot accumulate in sufficient quantity to ripen into disease. Hence it is jven more valuable for protection than cure, aud few will ever suffer from Intermittent, if they avail themselves of the protection this remedy affords. - Prepared by DR. J. C. 'Ag blood is the life ; and when any foreign or unhealthy matter gets mixed with it, it is at once distributed to every organ of the body. Every nerve feels the poison, and all the vital organs quickly complain. The stomach will not digest the food perfectly. The liver ceases to secrete a sufficiency of bile. The action of the heart is weakened, and so the circulation is feeble. The lungs become clogged with tBe poisonous natter 1 benoe, a cough and all from a slight impurity at the fountain head of life the Blood ! As if yon had thrown some earth, for instance, in a pure spring, from which ran a tiny rivulet in a few minutes the whole course of the stream becomes disturbed and discolored. As quickly does impure blood fly to every part, and leave its sting behind. All the passages become obstructed, and nnless the obstruction is removed, the lamp of life soon dies out. These Pills not only purify the blood, but regenerate all the secretions of the body ; they are, therefore, unrivaled as a CURE FOR BILIOUS DISEASES, Liver Complaint, Sick Headache, Ac This AntiBilious Medicine expels from the blood the hidden seeds of disease, and renders all the fluids and secretions pare and fluent, clearing and resuscitating the vital organs. Pleasant, indeed, is it to us, that we are able to place within your reach a medicine like the "Mountain Herb Pills," that will pass directly to the afflicted parts, throngh the blood and fluids of the body, and cause the sufferer to brighten with the flush of beauty and health. Judson's Pills are the best remedy in existence for the following complaints: Bowel Complaints, Coughs, Colds, Chest Diseases, Coetivetiess, Dyspepsia, Diarrhoea, Dropsy, Debility, Fever and Ague, Female Cemplaiata, Headaches, Indigestion, Influenza, Inflammation, Inward Weakness, Liver Complaints, Lowness of Spirits, Stone and Gravel, Piles, and Secondary Symptoms. GREAT FEMALE MEDICINE! Females who value health, should never be without these Pills. They purify .the bloed, remove obstructions of all Kinds, cleanse the skin of all pimples and blotches, and bring the rich color of health to the pale cheek. The plants and herbs of which these Pills are made, were discovered, in a very surprising way, among the Tezucans, a tribe of Aborigines in Hex ico. Get the Almanac of our Ageut, and yon will read with delight the very interesting account it contains of the "Great Medicine" of the Aztecs. OBSERVE.
