About Akkoroing to pay foe a Dah.y ParrcR —i'Tow-u-day? every body wants a daily paDCr. Most persons are willing to pay for theaa indispensable institutions, believipg thom to bo as che»p as the other necessaries in the market. But. some persons think that, at thp present rates, daily papers are not ilesirablo, and they wi 1 dispense with them. Qeutlemen should consult their men* tal, as well as physical necessities. They should gratify the mind as well as the appetite. A gentleman who spends three dimes per day for ale. the same amount for cigara, and about three dimes a week for tobacco, makiog in all $4,50 for the mere gratification of the appetite, should not hesitate to expend less than a twentieth part of that amount for a daily newspaper lor the samd time. Here is a case in point,' and the moral it teaches will excuse us for* its personal character:
An old sub'scrlBer met us, yesterday, and said he had just done what he greatly disliked not so much on hts account as that of his family—he had ordered the carrier to discontinue bis Daily Express, which he had taken fbr'half a dozen years, beeause he could not and would not pay twenty cents per week for it His mind was made up on that! Aud hi^ manner plainly indicated th.it he was eorry for us, but that we must make up our mind to getalong in tho world withottfc hi* patronage It we could, and go amouot of persuasioa wouftf change his steru resolve At... this moment a oouple of friends approached us, and our ex-patroo, who is a generous soul when Qowsjppjper^are nqt concerned, invited ... Tiaiioa
to~walk Into^ a"n adjacent coffee-house and drink something with him. We do not "take anything," but we accompanied the trio into the house to mark the expenditure. Three glasses of alo-30 cents. Three cigaw J30 Total-60 cents We are sure that the man who warmly protested that he could not take a daily paper, (although hi family greatly desired it!) because it cost r- 1.

Important Liquor Dkcosion.—The Sn preme Court (new Judges) on Tuesday reversed the decision of Judge Perkins, made in chambers, in reference to the Liquor Law of Indiana. This reversal amounts te this that grand juries in tbe Circuit Court have cognizance in all cases for selling liquor with' out license, selling it te minors, selling on the Sabbath, &c.
