In answer to the enquiries of "P," in the last number of the Times, ou the subject of tlrophobia, Owen Franson has authorized me to say that he had a dog. 14 sheep, and a number of hogs, bitten by a dog supposed to be mad. Some of the sheep were so sev erely injured as to die soon after of their wounds. The dog, hog and remainder ofthe sheep, were secured in pens. After a certain number of days, which I now forget. tbe dog went mad and died, and at about the same time 7 of the sheep and 2 of the hogs also ti ed, under every symptom of Hydrophobia. Tbe particulars were given me more specially than 1 hav e stated them, but I did not note them tlown at the time, and they have io some tlegree, escaped my memory. I hav e had similar information from oth er sources, in regard to hogs, sheep & dogs, which have gone mad and died, in this county, but the testimony of Mr. Franson, who is known, generally, must remove every doubt on the subject.
