In the city, a sale has been effected at 0 cents for a choice lot. The sujxar market is dull. MOLASSES. In town pale are limited in the country it is in good request at jat the above prices. TORE. That market offers no onnortunity for remarks, we continue our rates at from 7 to 11 .50 for inspected. Of old and inferior, there is a laroe quantity on hand, arid sales arc effected with diliiculty. We hear of no purchases for shipment to foreign ports. LARD has arrived in great quantities, but the demand is brisk the exports of the week are unusually great former quotations of 7 cents are continued, and prices fully sustained. BACON. Sales are effected as usual, at present quotations G to 8 cents. There is no scarcity apprehended Hams arc ery plenty, and less in demand than sides and shoulders. 4 1 CORN. The quotations of last week are unchanged in the, ear, 7f cents bbl. and 38 cents per bushel, shelled, in sacks, it goes off at retail only, and appears still to be looking downward. There is no demand for exportation at the moment, and the market is well supplied. FLOUR. The momentary demand caused by the rise in Havana, and the ice above, has ceased. The last sale we know of was one of about 1500 barrels, at a price which cannot now be obtained. At present it is held at $0, and could probably be nun based at a lower price. Our market is almost wholly governed by the West India Islands prices mere are very liuctuatinjr, ana consequcntly no permanency can be expected in our own. WHISKEY. The demand is very limited by no means equal to the supply. We reduce the price this week to XM cents per gallon, and even at that reduction sales to a large extent could not be forced. The article is very dull. SALT, has declined in value of late Liverpool in sacks is very plenty at reduced prices, and Turks Island in bulk, a complete drug. There are several cargoes in port of both descriptions, for w hie h purchasers cannot be found, we quote Liverpool, blown at $1 2f cts per sack Turks Island at 115 cts per measured bush. COFFEE We notice the improvement of a fraction in this article. A large quan tity has arrived this week and the demand is brisk, we quote it at 14 to 10 cents. BEES WAX, from IS to 10 cents. vlarnr'D By James Thorn. Es.j on Sunday evening, the 4J2nd of January, in-. xAir JoiixKmjx. to iMr?. Piimu: Thomas. On Wednesday evenini the 25th day ol
