M chairman of the committee of Ways and Means, to whom the communication of the Secre tary of Slate on that subject was referred, reported that the proposi ton of Messrs Douglas and Maguire, to proceed with the printing ol the acts during the session, would, in the opinion of the committer, be advantageous to the Mate, as it would ensure a distribu tion of the laws at an earlier period He aiso reported a joint resolution upon the same subject, which passed a second reading.
