A.YORDIXAXCE relative to the Ordinal ccs in force within the Borough of Vinccnncs. See. I. HE if ordained by the Trustees of the Pcrough of lrincennesin Common Court eil assembled. That all Ordinances adopted prior to the 1st day of August, 1828. exeepting only those herein after named, shall be, and the same are hereby repealed : Provided nevertheless. That if any person or persons shall have become subject to any fine, penalty or forfeiture ; or prosecution, suit or action at law, for any fine or penalty, for misfeasance, nonfeazance, or breach of any of the ordinances by this ordinance repealed, then, and in that case, as to such fines, penalties, or forfeitures, prosecutions, suits, or actions at law, such ordinances shall remain in full force and virtue inlaw, any thing herein to to the contrary notwithstanding. Mr. Benning died about f o clock this evening, having lingered in extreme agony about 24 hours, leaving a distressed and helpless famii r. The ciicumstanres which led to tht perpetration of the foul deed, as appeared in evidence, are briefly these : On Wednesday last there appeared in the

whilst retreating, with his back towards WicklifTc, received the ball, which tcrmina-
ted his existence,
Great excitement prevails. The Adams and Clay men openly boast of the murder while the Jackson men arc determined that the murderer shall not escape the penalties of the law.

Sec. at the earliest possible period, and from the most authentic sources. III. Miscellany. Interesting items of intelligence, foreign and domestic occurrences, deaths marriages, &c. IV. Engravings. In each, quarter the Souvenir will be embellished w ith four splendid quart copper-plate engravings cf remarkable American or European scenery or portraits of distinguished characters also one plate of the prevailing fashions, which w ill be sent coloured, free of charge to those who comply with the terms of subscription, of payment in advance.
