A Voice from Pennsylvania. On Saturday, 4th March, one hundred fic five of the members chosen to attend the convention in Pennsylvania, for the purpose of nominating a governor, attended at Harrisburg. The convention is represented to have c onsisted of the most respectable persons, selected from the old and long tried republicans of the state. The nomination of governor having been made, which resulted in an unanimous preference to govr. bhultz ; Mr. Hull, cf Bradford county, submitted the following resolution " Resolved, That our confidence in the patriotism, talents, and inflexible integrity of Ocncral ANDREW JACRSON, is unimpaired ; and that his conduct during the pendency of, and after the late election of the President of the United States, is deserving the unqualified approbation of the American people." The vote by ayes and nays being taken, there were in favor of the resolution nmetyught votes, and but seven against it. Thus is Pennsylvania again found as devotedly attached as ever to the republican standard ; and is ready when the hour of trial shall arrive, to support her former favorite, Jackton, with firm and undiminished zeal. We never doubted this, although some others, with a view to effect, have asserted the contrary. It is equivalent to a second nomination for the important office of President of this Union. U. S. Telegraph. from nit.es' RFGISTF.R. The Panama Mission. The yeas and nays arc frequently given in general 24 to 20, for or agai:it the mission, or on measures leading to decisions of points respecting it. By one of the resolutions, the opinion of the president was asked as to the expediency of publishing the documentsbut lie, not being informed of thb motives which should induce a deviation iVo:n the usage in all such cases, left the q-.icM.iou whollv with the senate. Many rovitior..-. were offered and discussed utdnfLrcut times. The report of the committee of foreign relations is not given ; but it appears that the chief objection to the mission rested on the idea that a participation in the congress of Panama would be a departure fro.u our great principles of policy, and ; II the resolutions published, that relate at ill to the merits of the case, are on the p irt of the minority onlv so the view in its merits is defective. The main question, as to the expediency of the mission, by proceeding to act on the nominations, was thus decided on the morning of Wednesday lait; at a very earP hour. Yeas Messrs. Barton, Bell, Po.;'igny, Chambers, Chase, Clayton, Pd wards, Harrison, Hendricks, Johnson, of Ky. Johnston, of Lou. Knight, Lloyd, Marks, Mills, Keed, Hobbins, Huggles, Sanford, tevmo'ir, Smith, Thomas, Van 1) ke, Wiley J5. .Yoe.t Messrs. Benton, Berrien, Branch, Chandler, Cobb, Dickuv.i, Eaton, Pindlay, Hane, Holmes, Kane, King, Macon, Randolph, Rowan, Van Baren, White, Williams, Woodbury 19. Absent en this vote, Mr. Mc livable, who has been sexerely ill, and was unable to remain in his seat during the nigh't and Air. Tazewell, has not returned from his i -.it tn Virginia. The seats of Mr. (iaillard, of S. C and Mr. Chambers, of Alabama, vacated bv their decease, have not been filled.
