It contains important information to the citizens of the ucst. War Department Dec. 13, 1825. Gentlemen. I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communication in reference to the unfaithful execution of the contract of Mr. Bruce, made for the removal of obstructions in the Western Waters. Acting on this document, which has been confirmed by the report of an officer sent some time past on a charge like the one you make, 1 have suspended Major liabcock, and substituted another officer for that ser vice I shall forbear any stronger measure till I receive the additional document to which you refcrj and whose receipt you anticipated. Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General iissembly of the state of Indiana That for the purpose of electing Senators to the General Assembly of ihc State ol Indiana, foi ihc ensuing five years', the stale Uc, and the same is hereby divided into districts as follows, to wit : The counties of Posey, Vanderburgh and Warrick shall form one district. The counties of Spencer, Perry, and Crawford, owe district. The counties of Gibson, Pike and Dubois, one district. The counties of Knox, Daviess and Martin, one district. The counties of Vigo, Sullivan & Clay, one district. The counties of Monroe, Greene and Owen, one district. The counties of Parke, Putnam,' Montgomery, Fountain, Vermillion, and all the country north of said three last mentioned counties to the Indian boundaiy, one district. The county of Harrison, one district. The counties of Orange and Lawrence, one district. The county of Washington, one district. The counties of Clark and Fioy'd, one district.
