J G. READ. 41 The Reformer." THE design of this work is to expose the clerical schemes and pompous undertakings of the present day, under pietence of protm ling i eligion, and to sl o w that they are irreconcilable with the spi lit a-d principles of the gospel. The pen 'Hons eflYcts of clerical domination in this country, may be inferred from the historv cf other countries, and i ought early to be guarded against. Tl eic ' are already few who have sufficient firmnei to present these men before the pub- ; lie in their true colors, and hence tinprospect of their success, and our dncr t is greatly increased.
