'I he bill from the II. of Representatives to confirm the sales made by the udministiutors of Henry Vandcrburg dee'd. was read the 3d time and passed! Tuesday Dec. 9. Mr. Stapp from the committee on that subject reported a bill to prevent manstealing; which was read and passed to a tccoud reading. Thursday Dec. 11. Mr. Gregory, from the committee on that jubject reported a bill declaring Blue River, a public highway which was read and passed to s second reading. Friday Dec 12. The bill from the H. of Representative to change the state road from New Aibanv to Princeton, was read the 3d lime and passed. Saturday. Dec. 13. Mr Ray, from the committee on that subject reported a bill for the appointment of Constables and defining their duties; which was read and ordered to a thii d reading. Mr. Craig, from the committee on that subject, reported a bill to authorise the location of certain state roads; which was read and passed to a second reading. Mr. Thompson offered a resolution disapproving of Congressional Caucuses, and instructing our representatives in Congress thereon, which was read and passed. Ayes Messrs Craig, Graham, Grass, Milroy, Montgomery, Sholts, Stapp and Thompson 8 Navs Messrs Gray. Gregory, Harrison, Jcnkcs. J )hnson3 Rariden, Ray, and Slaughter 8. The President voted in the affirmative and so the resolution passed. This suit is still depending, Some errors have crept into the books of this department, by reason of which the real situation of the financial concerns of the state docs not appear. It would be desirable, that the committee of ways and means should be directed to examine the subject, and authorize the correction of erroneous entries. The bill regulating prisons and prison bounds, was read the 3d time and passed The house refused to concur in the amendments made in the senate to the loan bill So the two houses have disagreed with respect to some part of the loan bill and it is likely it will be well if they never agree upan it except to reject it. General Jackson, Farrin, arrived lately at Boston from Havana, we learn that eighteen American sailors have been imprisoned at that place, on suspicion of having murdered a Spanish sailor on the Mole.
