Many of the best informed persons here consider the contest as drawing to a close. The Brinish merchants have despatched a fast sailing essel from Lima for England, with an account of the state of affairs in the Pacific All was quiet when Bolivar quitted Guayaquil." It will be recollected that we doubted Q late account, which stated that Bolivar had not proceeded to Peru his presence there, in such a crisis is of incalculable value, and we doubt not but he will terminate the war in that highly important section of South America. The B ard apprised of the immense advantages resulting from such institutions in Kemurky, and elsewhere, where numerous pupils of every denomination, are yearly restored to their parents, endowed with religious habits, good manners, and the most useful and becoming acquirements, have received with due thankfulness and gratitude so kind an offer ; and to make themselves the better, and sooner able to answer the aforesaid proviso, most respectfully present the community and the public, with the fol lowing subscription, headed by the conditions for board and tuition.
