IVA'CAWAiS, MARCH ov, ..i Congressional. 1 lie bill appot tinning representatives to.congicss througtiout the states, has, no doubt, become a law, and Indiana is entitled to three only, for ten years to come ' A e regret the prevailing disposition ot that body, to concentrate power in the hands of a few we particularly regiet, that our young state should be ielt by the present ratio, (which is 40,000) with a fraction so latge as to justify the be ief, that before the first election, our numbers would entitle us to another. These considerations however, will render the approaching election in August, the more important, and interesting Indeed it is now full time we think, for tlfc votes in this congressional District, to look around amongst the candidates talked of; and aking into consideration the impoitant trust to be confided, and the important duties to be performed, to ftx their choice upon thai one who is most fiituous, most capable, and most likely continue their independent advocate, opurning all sinister or selfish designs. We received no papers bv the last mail ftrther eastward, than from Louisville. Mentor is again unavoidably omitted, ve hope to be able to satisfy him, it is not attributable to neglect on our part. Washington. F b 20th, 1822 X) the Editor cf the Richmond Ixultigenccr. SIR. The bill from the House of Representatives, apportioning the Representatives among the several states, was this day finally acted upon by the Senate, and passed by a vote of 26 to 18. It wants the signature of the President to become a law. The Ratio is fixed at 40,000, and Indiana is entitled to thrkb Representatives. Yours very respectfully, JAMES NOBLE. The United States schooner Shark, M.
