purchase ot that non-desenpt species ot pajer, falsely called bills of exchange, upon vhich the Steam Mill Comp'y. obtained from 'he bank, the enormous sum of Sl.OOO, or Jae-e tbouts term bills of exchange, meaning in the said bye-laws, nothing more than is commonly understood by it in all commercial transactions, viz : a draft drawn by an individual or commercial house of one place, upon mother individual or commercial house, at mother place j bv which great facilities are

given to commerce, and the interest of banking institutions promoted, and could not by any torture of language be construed to mean an order for the payment of money, - drawn be an agent of a company, living in Vincennes, upon the members of the same company, residing in the same place, one of whom was President of the Bank. Re?o1v- d, That the President and Cashier, as well as such members of the board of directors, as aided, or were accessary to the obtaining money from the bank by the said company in the manner above stated, betrayed the confidence reposed in them, and sacrificed the interest of the institution.
