A long communication appears in the last Examiner, published at Yevay, charging us with inserting an M Editorial paragraph" giving " the branch bank at Vevay a thrust," and as is usual with falsifiers, abuses us most unmercifully. We have only to remark, that the piece to which the Examiner alludes was written by a correspondent, and appeared in this paper as a 4 communication' and as we intend to hand this bank laquey over to the author of that paragraph we shall be much disappointed if he does not show him the absurdity of his whining contradictions, and the folly of his abuse. Paris, Julu 6. The number of suicides in Paris, during the months of January, February, March and April of the present year, amounts to 28 of which 33 arc female, 60 in the married state. Many of them ended their existence by fire arms; and 40 by ignited charcoal.

Of this nuber 53 committed the deed through disgust ol lite from domestic griefs, indigence or disappointed affection ; the remainder from deranged affairs, gambling and debauchery.
