This wise regulation, it is justly expected, will greatly augment the trade of Hayti.
We undestand that Robert Brent, Esq. has resigned the office of paymaster General of the army. Our readers will be concerned to learn that continued ill health is the cause of this vacation of office. His succssor is not yet named. Xat. Intel. Washington, Aug. 4. The laying of the keel of one of fhe largest class of Frigates was on Monday commenced at the Navy Yard at this place. The frames of two such ships are collected here. AW. Int. The United States Branch Rnnk 2X Chilicothe has recently refused to pay a draft to the amount of about 10,000 dollars in specie. The specie was, as we are informed, wanted by Gov. Cass, to fulfil a stipulation contained in some of the late Indian treaties. Mr Robert A Forsyth, of this city was the bearer of the draft, and having learnt that the money would not be paid to him, he had the draft protested. Detroit Gaz.
