Its anniversary celebration this year, has dis -played in this place, the spirit of our fathers, and demonstrated, that their meBi ry and principles will ever live, and ever triumph. The festivity and genearl joy conspicuous on this occasion, were highly creditable, and must lie of service to the rising generation. Our spacious e irt house was crouded when the oration was delivered, which we take picasure in laying before our readers in this day's extra after it was concluded, and the. ladies had retired from the court house, a large portion of our most respectable citizens repaired to mr. Barnctt's Inn there, a bowery was tastefully fitted up in front of the house, and a sumptuous and splendid public dinner prepared for the occasion. Our respected and venerable fellow citizen, col. F. Vigo, acted as president, and E.
