Extract from thf Journals. HOUSE OF REPRESEN 1ATIVES, Saturday, December 5. Mr. Daniel presented a bill, on the subject of joint estates and obligations, which was read, and ordered to be rea4 a second time on Monday next. Mr. Suilivan, from the joint committeo on the subject of revising the laws, mad the following report, viz 1 That a committee of revision to consist of three on the part of the Senate Sc five on the part of the House of Representatives, with power to sciect three or more clerk.3, to be employed in revising such laws as the committee may think proper ; or such laws as may be, by order of cither House, referred 10 tho committee of revision. The bill for changing the venue was read the second time, and committed to a committee of the whole House, and made the order of the day for Tuesday next. The bill supplementary to an act, entitled "an act organizing the circuit courts," was read the second time, and committed to a committee of the whole, and made the order of the day for Wednesday next. Mr. Beggs moved that the IIous come to the following resolution : Resolved, That the House proceed by ballot, on Monday next, at 1 1 o'clock A. M. to elect a Chaplin for the present General Assembly ; and on the question will the House adopt said resolution, it Was decided in the negative : AYES Messrs Beggs, Bryson, Bun ton. M'Clure, Stevens, Suiiivan and Lane, (Speaker.) 7 NAYS Messrs. Boon, Carr, Cambeli Chambers, Cotton, ( onner, Dunn, Daniel, Ferguson, Hill, font Holman, Little, Littell, Lynn, Milroy, Scott, Snowden, Slaughter, and Zenor 21. On motion of Mr. Stevens Resolved, That a committee be appointed to organize the Associate Judges of the different counties in this state in'o a regular Court, called a county court, and for other purposes ; and Messrs. Stevens, Buntin, Cambell, Bryson and Scott were appointed that committee. Mr Sullivan moved that the House Concur in the report of the joint committee, on the suhjectof the revision of the Laws ; and on the question, Will the House concur in the said report I It was decided in the negative. AYES Messrs. Bi'yson Conner, Graham, Hill, Holman Hunt, M'Clure, Scott, Snowd n, Sullivan, Zenor 8c Lane (Speaker.) 12. NAY-. Messrs. Monday December 8. Mr. Boon, from the committee to whom was referred that part of the Governor's Message, relativ e to the obstructions in the Ohio river, reported a resolution ; which was read and referred to a committee of the whole and made th order of the day for Wednesday next Mr. Sullivan, presented the petition of the county Commissioners of Knox coun ty praying an act to he pa rsed to legalize their proceedings in certain cases ; which was read and referred. Also petition ofPeir Audrln, Sc others, praying an act, amend -tory to an act incorporating the common held below Vincennes: which was read, and refered. Mr. Daniel introduced a bill for the relief oC insolvent debtors ; which w; s read, and committed to a select committee. On motion of Mr. Catr. Ordered. That this House re-consider the vote taken on Saturday, on the re-
