One ofthe greasest luxuries preservers of the health in this climate during the hot months of summer, is ice. the ordinary ice house. At an entertaintment given last summer in Bath, it is said that the wine was handed round frozen in the shape of small bunches of grapes. THE SPARK. Messrs. dales Seaton, In perusing your paper of this morning, I perceived by the extract of a letter from an officer of the V States' brig Spark, who was left on board the frigate Java that some fears were apprehended as to the safety of that vessel. 1 have (bought proper for the information of the friends and r elations ofthe officers on b ard, to inform you that the Spar': was in Malaga on the 18th November. I left Gibraltar on the 16th, and the brig Alexander, (arrived at New-York) left there on the 20th Between the 1 6ih and 20th, the Frigate U. States. Com Shaw, arrived at Gibraltar from Malaga where she 'left the Spark all well on board. Mr. Jesse Wall of Philadelphia, who came passenger in the Alexander, corroborates the above
