Carolina on the 15th Dec. passed a resolution requestins: the Governor of that suite to address a letter of thanks to gen. Jackson, for his distinguished services during the late war. The gen. in his letter of acknowledgement addressed to governor Williams, declares himself to be a native of that state. This will put the question of the birth place of tne immortal Jackson, for ever at rest.
