rfHIS town was firft named and pubA lifhed, Indiana the proprietors for the fake of nerfpicuity have changed it to BUSSERON. The town is laid out in fquares, with twelve lots in a ftpjare. In the centre is a fquare referved fo county buildings. Tbo itreets are fixty lix feet wide, and the alleys fixteen, runiug at right angles with the cardinal points of the Compff. BUSSERON, is fituated on the north end of the beautiful prairie of the fame name twenty miles north of Vincennes, two from the ihak-r Settlement, one from Breton creek and three from the Wabaih the to'vn ttand on a rifing ground, poffeifing a delightful profp-a of the plain or prairie for neariy ten miles. By digging wells from eighteen to twenty five feer, water of the heft kind can readily be had in any part of the town. The foil of the prairie and country is fcarce equalled by any on the weftern waters nor is there any new country where farffifl arc made with fo little labour. There is a Fine frttiement around this plice, and crouds of emigrants daily arriving there is two fa and two grift inilb within from two to five rniles, The town is about a proper diftance from the river to be healthy, and tor beauty and convenience it is fcarre eoU(1)led by any town in thr: territory. There is every profnec of this place being the feat of Juftttl cf a ne-v count, and from the many advantages it pofT ftes it may be rXpe&ea to grow up with a degree of rapidity hitherto unknown in the hiftory of villages.
