Evanfville is in the midft of a fl iurihin fettlement, and furrounded by mucta habitable ?ano Which, together with thea advantage of the Ohio river, will riv?,l ary town in the territory. It is fituate fifty mi"es from Shawnee toVvn, and feven from Red Bnk", fifty two from Vincennes, and twenty five from Princeton, the feat o jufticc for Gibfon county, and directly on 3 line with the three latter places. An excellent road may be had trom Evanfville to Vincennes, and the period is not diRant when merchants and traders will from economy, tranfpo't their goods acrofs from Evanfville to Princeton and Vincennes, ii preference to the circuitous rout of the Ohio and the Wabafh rivers, and indeed hi fome feafons of the year it is impoffible to navigate the Wabafh for weeks, and I could fay months, in the Ml low waters obftrurt its navigation in the winter ice. In fad the advantages vvhi h this place 'njoys are fo many and fo obvious, it is vanity to attempt to defcribe them indeed an attempt would h prefumptious. Merchants and mechanics will find great advantages from fettling at this place, the latter are particularly invited, and great encouragements will be held out to them. Purchafrrs will have a crniit of fix months tor one half of the purchaie money, and twelve months from the d-ty of fale for the b lance, by giving bond with approved fecurity for the payments as they become due, Purchafers of lots will receive conveyances by paying theexperces of thofe conveyances, and giving bond as aforefiid.
