There is net the leaf doubt but the government will obtain, on rcafonable terms, every cent it wants indeed, we entertain no doubt but than, even though the bill has not yet paiTed autborifing the loan, the government has already received propofals for a large ponion, if not the whole of the !o2n, which it is at prefent neceflary to afk for. .Although the amount of the loan is propofed to be twenty five milhonsof dollars an authority is already given to fubftitute five millions of that amount by treafury notes and as to the remainder, with neceffary care and rigid economy, the expenfes will be fo far limited as to reduce the loan far below twenty itiilli ons, which, together with the ten millions of treafury notes, it will Iti ike every reader, were calculated 23 the ex treme amount, which in any event, the government could have occasion f or.
