We are a: length enabled to lay before onr readers the glad tidings of the rapture of the whole of the Brttifh forces in Upper Canada, except Proftor and Elliott with about Go dragoons the details are given in to day's paper. From the northern army we can furnifh nothing of moment; great preparalionsappe'ir. to he making, and a fhort time do doubt will furnifh news of importance. From the Ontario Beet we have a variety of reports the next mail no doubt will furnifh fomcthmg from it of importance. From oin fouthern and weflern armies we have not even reports. Monday next is the day appointed by the proclamation of the go. id nor to lupply the vacancy in the houfe of rrprefentatives of tbe Indiana territory, occafioned by the refignation of col. Robert M. Frankfort October 23. From the north weftern army we are able to lay before our readers the following extracts of letters. &c. they comprize all the information receiveel from th.-.r quarter. It appears from all the accounts that the Kentucky militia alone fought the aclion of the fifth in ft. Argus, Copy of a letter from John J. Crittenden, aid to govr. Shelby, to major M. I). Hardin, dateel Camp on the river Thames, 8o miles from Sandwich, October 5th, 1813. ' Dear Sir We have this moment gained a glorious v& ry over the Britifh and Indians. All the Britifh regulars who furvived the action are our prifoners among the reft cols. Evans and Warburton, and majors Mujr and Chambers their number is about 300. The killed and wounded on either fide ib not yet afcertained ours 1 know is very inconfidcrable, and cannot I think, exceed 40 or 50 Colonel Richard M. lohtifon is wounded, but not mortally. No other officer that I have heard of, is either killed or wounded. Tecumfeh, it is confidently laid, is killed. We have taken all the arms and military (lores of :he Bi i1 1 ill in Upper Canada.
