Among them are two hundred warriors completely armed. Their dti pofition are friendly ? the objeft of their coming in, is to be protected not only from the excurfions of our troops who find it difficult to difcriminate, but from the hoUility of the neighboring tribes particularly the Ml amies and Putawita nues who have ranged themfelves under the Britifh ftandard. Thofe two hoftiie tribes can bring into the field a thoufand well appoined warriors ;about twenty Delawares have joined them ; they call thofe waraiors who ha ve com in for proteft Ion squaws and threaten to tftteunluatd them, if they ever return. They appear to anticipate another expedition again!, their towns ; the Delawares say, they are engaged Conveying their women and children beyond the V aoaih.

ufetul to humanity, is defirous of giving me public a reaiedy that chance has difcovered : An officer who had aconfumptive complaint in his bread, was difsolving over a chaffing diih of coals, in a very dole room, an equal quantity of white pitch and yellow beet wax, with an intention soldering some bottles? and after having breathed some time in the vapor arifmg from it he found die complaint in his bread greatly relieved. This observation, extremly intereiting to himklf, determined hm to coHtinuc the same fumigation some days. He soon perceived a very confiderable amendment, and at length was entirely cured. This cure was much talked of Madame a! Margrave cle Bade was informed of it ; and (he was dehrous that a "trial might be made of this remedy, in Donrlath's hofpii al won a soldier whofe lite was defp aired of. The sue cefs equalled every hope that could be conceived, and th patient was perfectly cuied. In confluence of which the princefs gave orders that the fafl ihould be publithed in the Carlfruhi Gazette. The same public paper confirms this recital? adding that t his remedy has been experienced wit h equal benifit by several perfons who were attacked with com plaints in the bread and that manv, even when their lungs were ulcerated, and who were entirely given over, had been cured by this simple remedy. It should be obferved that the room in which the fumiga tion is to he performed, ought to be very closely shut up, and that the per I on should walk about, so as to inhale the rapor by degrees.
