vided alfo, That all inferior difabilities flall entitle the perfons fodifaultd to receive an allowance proportionate to the higheft difability. Sec. 1 5. And be it further enacted, That it any commitfioned officer to the military eltiibhfliment of the United States, (hall while in the fervice of the United States, d e, by reafon of any wound recved in actual fervice of the U. S. & leave a widow or if now widow a child or th'ildren under fixteen years of age, fuch widow or if no widow, fuch child or children, (hall be entitled to, and receive half the monthly pay to which the deceafed was entitled at the time of his death, for and during the term of five years ; Hut in cafe of the death or intermarriage of fuch widow before the expiration of the laid term of five years, the halt pay for the remainder of the time (hall go to the child or children of fuch dectdicd officer: Provided always, That fuch half pay flrall ceafe on the deceafc of fuch child or children. Sec. 16. And be it further enacted. That if any non commiffioned officer, mufician or private lliall delcrt the fervice of the United States, he fhall, in addition to the penalties mentioned in the rules and articles of war, be liable to ferve for and during fuch a period as fliall, with the time he mayhave ferved previous to his defertion, amount to the full term of his enliPment and fuch foldier (hall, and may he tried by a court martial, and punifhed, although the term of bis enlifiment may have elapfed previous to bis being apprehended or tiied. Sec. 17. And be tt further enacted, That every perfop not fubjed to the rules and articles of war, who fhall procure or entice a foldier in the fervice of the United Stat to dffert ; or who fliall purchafe from any foldier, his arms, tinifotm clothing, or any prt thereof; and every captain or commnnding officer of any (hip or velTcl, who (lull enter on board fu h flop or veiTrl as one of his crew, knowing him to have delei ted, or otherwi fe carry fway any fuch foldier, or fliall refufe to drliver him up to the orders of the commanding officer, fhall, upon legal conviction, be finrd at thedifcretion of any court having cognisance of the fane, in any fum not exceeding three hundred dollars, and be imprifoncd any term not exceeding one year. Sr-e. 18. And be it further enacted, That every officer non coivmithoned offiiei, mufician and private, fliall take and fnbfcribfl the following oath or affirmation, to wit : 44 1 A. See. 19.
