Boston Repertory May St. " I have jolt arrived from Caftine. Juft before I left it, a gentleman, who arrived from Seoodlck, that morning, brought intelligence that the Britdh govern, ment had pafled an order, correfponding with our non-importation act, prohibiting American veffels, with property, from entering any ports in her dominions. . IMPORTANT. BRITISH OUTRAGE. The following account of the Britifli frigate 'Melampus, is undoubtedly true. We forbear to make comments, as public indignation, if there is a fpirit of refentment in the nation will fupply their place. This outrage is fanclioned it is faid, by a new Bntifh order in council. Will this be thrown into the common Hock of aggrcSion for iuture negociation, or will it be immediately relented ? If the latter courfe be intended, a call of congrcls may be expecled.

'Anticipated, from our Philadelphia correfpondent. ) The Kingfton Chronicle, of the 30 h of April, contains the following lingular article : In the event of hoftiiities with America, we may expect an entiie revolution in 'ur commercial relations. No veiiei can proceed without convoy, fr it is incalculable tlie (n.i unity of tonnage that the American Hates can fit out for privateering. The lea will fwauii with thJr dtpndators ; and it will rujTihe lull our navy to protect
our trade. This is precifely what Bonaparte wilhes ; but fortunately, our own navy wiih it too, for at prefent they are idle."
From the Natchez Chronicle, extra, of June 2. By the pohtenefs of a friend, from lort Stoddart, we received a few days ftnee, a file of new (papers up to the iixth inftant, called the 4 Mobile Ccntinei,' a paper lately eftablilhed at fort Stoddart by Miller tk Hood, we extract the following : " Fort Stoddart, May 20. 44 Gen. G. Mathews and colonel John M4Kee, as commiihoncrs from the United States, have for fome time been at this place doing bufinefs w ith governor Folch ; the reftilt of w hich has not yet tianfpired. Their power and bulinef in extenfo, is not known ; but an idea is gaining ground, that they are authorifed to treat with the Spa ni!h government for the taking pofifefiion of Kail and fe(l Flonda. This idea is lounded in part at leaft on rumours contained in callern papers, that the fectet law pafled at the. lull fcflion of congrtfs empowered the prelident, under certain circumllances, to rake pofleflion of thofe. countries, & maintain it by force of arms. This rumor however, is principally circulated in the oppolition prints. TO A CORRESPONDENT.
