BY THE PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES. WHEREAS, by the second section of the act, entitled "An act making proviision for the disposal of the Public Lands, situated between the United States military Tract, and the Connecticut reserve, and for other purposes," passed March third, one thousand eight hundred and seven, it is enacted, That all the lands of the United States, in the therein mentioned dittricls, not otherwife difpofed of, or excepted by the faid a, Ihalfbe offered for fale to the liighelt bidder, under the dirtSion of the Hegifter of the Land Office, and the Receiver of Public Monies at the places refptclively where the Land Offices are ktpt, and on fuch day or days as (hall by proclamation of the Prelident of the United States, be dehgnated for that purpofe. AND WHEREAS, by the third feeVion of the act entituled.

fill, whenever he fhall think it convenient, to offer for fale, at firll only a part of the lands contained in fuch diftricl, and at any fubfequent time, or times, to offer for sale in the fame manner, any other part, or the remainder of the land contained in the fame.
