Propofals will alfo be received, as aforefaid, for the fupply of all rations which may be required by the United States, for the troops which are or may be itationed, matched, or recruited, within the town of Springfield, in the ft;.tc of MafTarhufetts; and for the armorers, and other prrfons employed in the United States arjnary at that place, from the full day of Tune, one thoufand eiht hundred and cleven, incluGve, to the fi ft day of June, one thoufand eight hundred and twelve. - A ration to confift of one pound and one euarter of beef, or three quarters of a pound of pork, eighteen ounces of bread or flour, one gill of rum, whilkey, or brandy, and at the rate of two quarts of ialt, four quarts of vinegar, fonr pounds of foap, and cue pound and a half of candles, to every hundred rations. The prices cf the fcveral component parts of the ration fnall be fnecified ; but the United States refcrve the right of making fuch alterations in the price of the component parts of the ration ufcrefaid, as fljall mke the price of each part thereof bear a jull proportion to the . propoftd price of the w hole ration.
