COMMUNICATION. Cory don, July 4th 1810. Our country is new, and therefore not with the roar of cannon, but with hearts filled with gratitude at the recollcclion of our glorious revolution, and by the contemplation of the many bleflings we enjoy, confequcnt to that ever memorable event, the momentous day was ulhcred in about 200 citizens of the county collected in town the rifle company of Marfan county, commanded by capt. Spencer, after having performed the manual exercife, fome evolutions, marching and counter marching, efcorted about 70 ladies to a
table in a grove in the open air. Here was prepared plenteous rt-paft. in rural llile. All people partook thereof, and it was a friendly lead, mixed with the ingredient fentiment. Mr. Pope addrdled the ai(embly in a (hurt but pertinent oratinn, neatly compoftd and handfomcly delivered. After which the following toails were drank, at each
toafl a platoon was fired the day doled with harmony. l.
