Monday next is the day appointed by the governor's proclamation for the election of members to the Lcgillative Council and Houfc of Hcprefentatives lix perfons offer themfclves as candidates for your favor for the Houfe of Rrpreientatives, three ol which can only be elected, and the people, in oppofition to any party, have the election in their own hands if they do not pleafe themfclves, they have only themfelves to cenfure. For the Council in the upper Diftridl two perfons oiler themfclves as candidates for your iavor come forward to the polls, and each man vote his fentiments with
out refpeel to party or to men. For the Council in the Lower Diftricl, four perfons offer themFelves as candidates for your favor act with firmnefs and independence, and fear no party.
