THE WESTERN SUN.
VINCENNES, NOVEMBER 18, 1809. Died on Sunday night, ' the 5th inft. Doctor Samuel M'Kee, after a long and lingering illnefs, which he bore with chriftion fortitude, & rc iigned his breach without a druggle in his death the community have left a friend, the faculty an orhament, and his family a loving hufoand and a kind father. On Thnrfday the 9th inft. John Ingram of Clark county, Indiana territory, was convicted of horfc ftealing, and was condemned to be hanged on the 1th day of December next. After fentence was pronounced on him beconfefied in pen court who were his accomplices, among the reft, named Jacob Richardfon, whofe character for a long time lias excited the ftrongeft luscious againft him. Richardfon and Trtflf, two of the perfons implicated, who were prefent, were immediately committed to j iil, and (tepshave been taken to apprehend others. In cur next we will publifh the written confeflicn of Ingram, which we have been favored with by a friend. Lou. Gaz.
FOR THE WESTERN SUN. Thofe gentlemen who hive received pe titions in favor of his Excellency Governor Harrifon's re-appointmrnt, and have not returned them, are rtfpecfully requeftrd to tranfmit them without delay to the Editor of the WYftern Sun. It is important tint the petitions lliould arrive at the feat of the General Government at an early prriod of the enfuing feflion of the Nuional Legiflature, efpecially when we refl-dt. that envi us ambition can rear its demoni ark creft, and malignant faifehnods be diffnninated with the fame facility in Wafti ington city as they are generated in the Borough of Vincennes and its vicinage. NotvvdthfUnding the hue and cry of Go vernor Harrifon's 4 declining popularity,' it is now well afcertained that the 4 credulous few who adhere to his adminiftration conftitute a majority of nine tenths of the Territory fo much for the veracity of his political enemies. AUSTRIA & FRANCE. Lovdox, Sap:. 5 Private letter? of the lit inft. from Holland, give the leading f.-aturs of the trrty now negotiating between France and Auftria. Napoleon to his other titles adds, it is f.id, that of Archduke of Aullria; and the Emperor Francis is now to be king of Bohemia and Hungary. Moravia, it is probable, will be comprifed in the latter f.tverty ; but the pre
