All the news from the interior is extremely gratifying evey tiling goes on well. The French finding their iorce too much divided, have evacuated th north of Spain, as far as fcrrol, and have concentrated all their forces in the neighborhood of Madrid, with a determination no doubt, of waiting united the rcfults of the campaign in Germany. The combined troops of England and Spain are, however, determined to bring them to aft ion, and it is expected at this very moment that a general aclion has taken place. The refults are not much dreaded. Should the French

be worfted,Jieir army will be deftroyed. Should the combined army meet any reverfe they have a powerful army of referve on the road to their afilftance, and the pjflcs to this province are well guarded. It is reafonablc to exprct that if the Auftrians hold out but a few months longer that there will not be a Frenchman in Spain except prisoners. Reus July 12. We have gotd news

per week, or 730,000 lbs. per annum. They add'that the confumption for 1810 will be 20,000 lbs. per week, or 1,040.000 lbs. per ann,im this will make too lumrn-r pantaloons, and two fummer coatee s for 200.000 men the value will be 1000,000 of doiLrs at the wholcfale cafh price of th ftuft'only. To a country of 30 miles fquare this is 'a ferious nntter tor fubfiftence and pp.fit.The works of this houfe only, (the greteffc in that diftricl) employ in various ways 1000 perfons. Let this fact be compared with the firft years return of exports, and the firft of imports under the prefent cenftitution. Let Rhode Ifland be conftderrd as having 80,000 perfons of our 8 millions, and it requires 80 millions of dollars to reach the fcale, on which flie combines her bbor-fav-ing machinery and ikill with fouthern produce. As 4 millions (of our couutry) n 1790 exported but 20 millions of doll ars in all things, this branch of R. Ifhnd induttry quadruples our recent exports and imports, and doubles both, in the fc.tle of the nation. We never took from England, for our own ufe, more than a mere fraction of 80 millions of piece goods. R. Ifland greatly ex ceeds her portion of them. It m ay be fiM that Rhode Ifland does not weave all thrfe goods : that they are fcattered thro thr union. This is true ; but Rhode Ifland furnifhes much of her ("pinning, and the fttr z more than 30 miles fquare. It carries on largely other manufadlures, bring a ftateof little extravagance or luxury, and much induftry, economy and Ikill. It would be incorred to fuppofe that Rhode Ifland do?S not perform much more in manufactures than the weaving, dying and drf.fllng of one million of cotton wool per annum,
