Ten Dollars Reward. RAN AWAY from the subscribers on the new road leading from St. Louis to Vincennes, two horses of the following description, viz.-- one a grey horse about fifteen hands high, blind in the off eye, and a large scar on about the middle of his ribs on the off side, shod all round, trots well, and is a strong made horse. --The other is a bay, with a small star and snip branded N on the near shoulder, natural trotter, about fifteen hands high, and shod all round they left us on the 2d of this inst. about seven miles on this side of the eighty five mile tree, and from what discovery we could make, steered eastwardly, so as to leave the road twenty or thirty degrees to the left hand--as they are aiming for Madison county, in Kentucky, we presume they will strike the Wabash considerably below Vincennes.--We will give ten dollars for finding said horses, and reasonable expenses for keeping them till taken away; information of their being found, and where they are must be forwarded immediately by post, to the post office in Richmond, Madison county, Kentucky, directed to maj. PERSONALLY came William Hargrove, who declared on oath, he administered on the estate of the late William Patterson, who was the assignee of Waller Taylor, of a quarter section of land known by the South half quarter of section number thirty five, in Township number one South, of Range number eleven West, in the District of Vincennes A certificate for which has heretofore issued (number fifty seven) dated May twenty, one tbousand eight hundred and seven, and which cannot be found among the papers the said Willim Patterson, which (he thinks) is lost. For publishing by subscription A work, to be entitled THE INDIANA JUSTICE AND CONSTABLES GUIDE. This work shall embrace a legal desertation on the life and progress (under the laws of England) and present respective powers and duty of justice of the Peace and Constables under the statute laws of Indiana---it shall likewise contain all the necessary forms for their respective offices --and be prefaced with the Constitution of the United States and the ordinance of the Territory. The utility and essentiality of such an undertaking and publication, especially in Indiana, cannot indeed it ought not, for a moment, to be doubted--it is therefore hoped that "what is generally good, will be liberally encouraged." CONDITIONS. 1. It will he compiled of one volume octavo, of between one hundred and one hundred and fifty pages. 2. It shall be printed on good common paper and stitched.
3. It will be put to press as soon as four hundred copies are subscribed for (which mount, it is supposed will barely defray the expenses which must necessarily be incurred for materials a copiast and printing.) 4. It will be delivered to subscribers, in Vincennes at one dollar per copy. 5. The number of copies subscribed for, must be paid upon the subscribers being publicly notified that the work is ready for delivery. 6. Subscriptions for the above work will be received by the several Post Masters in the Territory, by other Gentlemen to whom subscription papers may be forwarded and by others who may feel favorably disposed towards the undertaking.
