able at the end of the year for TWO
DOLLARS and FIFTY CENTS.
No Subscription will be received for a less term than one year and will not
be discontinued until all arrearages are paid, Advertisements of no more length than breadth will be published at FIFTY CENTS for the first insertion, and TWENTY-FIVE CENTS for every after insertion. To avoid unpleasant disputes, it is requested of advertieing customers, that they particularly specify the time their advertisements are to be continued. Those sent without such directions will
be continued till forbid, and must be
paid for accordingly.
All letters addressed to the Editor, must
be post paid or they will not be taken out of the office.
JOURNALS OF THE HOUSE of REPRESENTATIVES OF THE INDIANA TERRITORY, (Continued.) On Motion, Refolved that the Clerk do carry the foregoing bills viz. a bill entitled an act to alter and amend an act to regulate elections, a bill concerning the Attorney Generl and for other purposes and a bill for the admission of equitable trials in suits at Law, to the Legislative Council and desire their concurrence thereto. On Motion,
Resolved that the sergeant at arms of
this House do summons and bring before this House Robert A. New and Jonathan Jennings Esqs. in order to give evidence before this House. Mr. Johnston from the Committee to whom were refered the petition of Robert Elliot and others Trustees of the Wabash Baptist Church, made the following report. That they having enquired into the prayer of the petition and the incorporation of the said Church passed at the last session and find that the act makes ample provision for the principals stated in the said petition, except that the petition prays that the pe-

Jefferfonville, whereby his feat has became
vacated ; Refolved therefore that this
Houfe in purfuance of the ordinance do
now proceed to nominate two perfons to
be returned to the President of the United
States in order that he may appoint one ot them to fill the place of the faid Samuel
Gwathmey in the Legiflative Council and
that the Speaker be, and he is hereby direct
ed to tranfmit the fame to the Prefldent together with this refolution. The Houfe then proceeded to the nomination; whereupon Hugh M'Cally and Charles Beggs was nominated and on counting the ballots
