POETICAL ASYLUM,
2a contending Partizans.
Each chiming truth,
And truth difclaiming both. As when two pilgrims in the foreft ftray, jfoA ma)- be loft ; but each in his own way. Ten thoufand rove the brakes and thorns among, Some eaflward and ftme wellward, and all wrong. Bat here, alas ! the fatal difference lies, Each man's belief is right in his own eyes ; AnQ he that blames what they have blindly chefe,
Incurs rcfentment for the love he fliows. COWPER.
