AN ACT To provide for the payment of
certain expences incurred in the enquiry into the conduit of John .Smith, a Senator from the State of Ohio.
BE it enacted by the Senate end House
tf Representatives of the United States of
America, in congress assemoiea, inai
the accounting officers of the treaiury be,
and thev are hereby directed to audit and
fettle the accounts of all perfons who may have claims againft the United States, for
expences incurred in the inquiry into the conduct of John Smith, a Senator of the United States, for the State of Ohio, as an
alleded afibciate of Aaron Burr ; which ex
pences may have been authorifed by the committee of Enquiry, or by order of the Senate : Provided, That the faid accounts
(hall have been firft certified, by the Chair
tnan of the committee or by the ftcratary of the Senate.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted,
That tojevery witnefs before the faid com mittee of Enquiry or before the Senate up
on the faid enquiry, there fliall be allowed and paid, for every day's attendance thereon, the Turn f three dollars. And to defray the faid expences, there is hereby ap. propriated the fum of five hundred dollars, to be paid from any monies in the treafury not othcTwife appropriated. 1. B. VARNUM,

ef Representatives of the United Stales of America, in congress assembled, That for the purpofe of carrying into efTecl. a treaty between the United States and the Cliaclaw nation ot Indians, concluded at Pofhapukanuk, in the Choctaw country, on the lixtecnth day of November, one than find eight hundred and five, the following fums be, and the fame hereby are appropri. ated in conformity with the ftipulations contained in the faid treaty, that is to fay : To the faid Choctaw nation fifty tlion.

States cf America, tn Congress assembled That every free white male perfon in the Indiana Territory, above the nge of twen-ty-one years, having been a citizen of the United -States, and refident in the faid Territory, one year next preceeding an election of reprefentatives, and who has a legal or equitable title to a tract of land of the quantity of fifty acres, or who may
become the purchaser, from the United States, of a tract of land of the quantity of fifty acres, or who holds in his own right a
town lot of the value of one hundred dol-
lars, fliall be entitled to vote for representa
tives to the general alTembly of the laid Territory.
