The public arej we believe, generelly acquainted that more than a year fmcc, an at tempt was commenced by a number of the citizens of Vincennes and its vicinage, to eftablifh a public circulating Library, in the Borough of Vincennes, under the title of the 1 Vincsnnes Library.' Library Company,' which has obtained an act of the legiflature incorporating it under yj that name. As it is a meafure of public utility, emanating from the moft benevolent and p itiiotic motives, it is hoped it will meet with univerfal encouragement from every citizen in its neighborhood. Though its beginning be fmall, as that of every eftaMifhment, however ufeful, mud nccffarily br, in a new country, fituatt: ;s ours, it will grow with its countries growth, lucre ;fe with its ftrength, and became in di! time a copious and permanent fource of improvement and information, eafily acctffile to every one.
