Damages forCausIn'o DnusKkxxEsa.— In Noblcsvlllc, Mrs. Julia Frcybergcr brought suit against Marlin Moimtjoy, for damages caused by liquor sold by tbc defendant to the plaintiffs husband, John Freyberger. She charged that the defendant’s liquor had made her husband a drunkard, and caused him to lose his lime, and waste his money, and claimed one thousand dollars damages. The trial came off on Wednesday, and the jury, after being out some hours, brought in a verdict of five hundred dollars.

Olds reported a biil establishing a large number of post routes, which was passed without being read. The consideration of the Senate amendment to the Army Appropriation BUI was resumed, pending.which the House took ft recess until 7 o’clock.
AST The resolution to suspend tho operation of tho new liquor law, or a part thereof, for two years, has been lost by a largo majority. So the law goes into effect on tho 12th of Juno next, as published in tins paper on the 21st ultimo.

A. Hortou, of Rising Sun, was robbed of S800 in Cincinnati, on tho 27th ultimo. He had the money in his pantaloons pocket, and while going through the market his pocket was cut and the money taken, without him knowing it.
