AN Inquest was held by John J. Jack, a Justice of the Peace, in Posey township, Switzerland county, State of Indiana, at Turner’s Lading, on the Ilth day of September, 1853, over a dead body of-a man, name supposed to be William Crawford. Verdict of the Jury: Came to his death by accidental drowning. Usd on when found, dark sack coat, tweed pants, plated bocom shirt, bine yarn‘socks and coarse shoes; had black hair; about 6 feet 6 inches nigh; supposed to be 30 years of agei* In pocket-of deceased was found 3 cards or tickets, otic marked S. B. Georgetown, Wm. Crawfora, trip No. 14, 1843, paid deck passage to St. Louts; the other two blank cards of steamboat Hamburg, dated Sept 7th on back of one. Had €3,34 cents in money—two one dollar bills 'ou the Stale Bank of Ohio, one dollar in gold, and 35 cents in silver. .
