"Julius Ceaser." Joseph Holzbauer has returned to his school studies after an illness of about a week. Freshmen are reading some of. Dickens' shorter works in their English classes. The Juniors are still complaining about the three day English "exam" they had this week. "With the first snows of the season come the usual snow ball lectures by the Superintendent. The Juniors have received their class pins and rings and are proudly showing them to their friends. The school board has recently purchased some excellent History reference books for the H. S. study hall library. Prcf. C.E.IIarris was absent from school duirng the first part of the week, but his classes are now reciting as usual.
Phvsies students are busilv enraged in gettinir their laboratory manuals ready for inspection next week. A number of us have received letters from the Faculty during the past week reminding us that school is not as much of a joke as we would make it. Those much dreaded book reviews will be due before long. Xo one looks forward to the day with very much enthusiasm, but we will be rejoiced when this bugbear is : out of the way. Schuyler Nolan has been out of school the past week on account of a " black eye" he received In a recent basket ball game. The injury has proven very painful to him, but Schuyler expects to be with us again this week. The girls class basket ball teams are now practicing nearly everyday, they taking turns in using the Armory. The various coaches were announced in our issue of about a week ago. The work is going along very finely and. the girls are getting a great deal of pleasure out of it, to say nothing of the splendid exercise the game affords them.

Everyone is eagerly and expectant ly looking forward to the short Thanksgiving vacation and especially to the game with Bremen scheduled for next Wednesday night. There may be an informal dance after the game as there was when Culver played here. James Bowlby of Warsaw, formerly manager of Bosworth's Shoe Department was in the city Thursday and visited the High school. He is now traveling for the Quayle Co.,
of Chicago, and showed a fine line of samples of commencement invitations, class pins, etc. The Seniors are interested in the subject of invitations and will probably place their order with Mr. Bowlby .upon his return to Plymouth next Tuesday. . The American history class is still holding almost daily ieheirsals for Miss Grant's Senior vaudeville. Knight Houghton, the leader of the would-be "clowns" has recently

FRIDAY LOCALS. James Beatty who formerly run the Monarch Iron Works, was in
Plymouth today, and returned to his j work in Warsaw, where he has charge of a large foundry. The north Center street sewer is finished and this afternoon was slushed, and pronounced all right, and the report will be made for ac-1 ceptance at the next meeting of the City Council. Contractor Ness has' had bad weaher to contend with, and is now very thankful he is through
all but getting his pay for the work. Mr. and Mrs. Erwin, living south of town, were Chicago visitors last evening. Miss Marie Klupp of Cincinnati, Ohio, who attended he funeral of Louis Emenaker, returned home today. Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Johnson and children returned from a trip to South Bend, and went to their home in Donaldson. Rudolph Shakes is equipping his office well. He has purchased a fine library of books that belonged to the late Judge Beeman of Knox, and will be at home to his friends in his new office over Wenzler 's drug store. L. J. Girton has purchased two lots adjacent to his other possession, and seem to want it understood that he is about to become a regular buyer cf real estate. After he gets all that lays next to him, wonder what else he will want. Rev. L. W. Love and wife of Tyner are in Plymouth today. The Reverend gentleman is doing a great work in Tyner with the United Brethren church. He has lifted it out of the circuit, with other churches, into an independent charge, and
