Dr. Pierce's Favorite Prescription Is the best of all medicines for the cure of diseases, disorders and weaknesses peculiar to women. It is the only preparation of its kind devised by a regularly graduated physician an experienced and skilled specialist in the diseases of dornen. It Is a safe medicine in any condition of the system THE ONE REMEDY which contains no alcohol and no injurious habit-forming drugs and which creates no craving for such stimulants. THE ONE REMEDY so good that its makers are not afraid to prist its every ingredient on each outside bottle -wrapper and attest to the truthfulness of tho same under oath.
It is sold by medicine dealers everywhere, and any dealer who nasn't it can gtt it. Don't take a substitute of unknown composition for this medicine op known composition. No counterfeit is as good as the genuine and the druggist who says something else is "just es good as Dr. Pierce's" is either mistaken or is trying to deceive you for his own selfish benefit. Such a man is not to be trusted. Ho is trifling with your most priceless possession your health may be your life itself. See that yon get what you ask for.

WRITES FM ft LETTER FROM FORMER PASTOR OF CHRISTIAN CHURCH TELLS OF CONDITIONS IN PACIFIC COAST CITY. CLIMATE IS DELIGHTFUL Cost of Living About the Same as Here, Rents Higher, Plenty of Work for Ail At Good Wages. The following letter comes to George Voreis and family of Culver from the former pastor of the Christian church in Plymouth: 133 W. 39th St., Los Angeles, Nov. 10 We arrived here Oct. 10 and so far, during the day, the weather is as warm and beautiful with sunshine as the most glorious days of September and early October in Indiana. While reading of, your IS inches of snow we are basking in sunshine, sometimes a little too hot. 'The nights are cool, needig from one to three covers, but as scon as the sun rises we are in the summer land once more.

as a general thing. The rainy season is m the latter part of January, in February and the first part of March It rains then a day or two part of the time, mere at night than during the day, then quits for several day?. During the autumn or winter rains it is ccld and disagreeable, but as soon as the sun shines, no matter at what time of the year, it is as warm in the sunshine as it is in summer or fall back East. During the rains a little fire is needed, and in the winter a' fire morning and evening, but whenever the sunshine irets into the house, no matter what time of the year, it is warm; and whenever it does not get in. no matter what time of the year, it is cool or cold cool in the summer and cold in the winter. We have burned only paper so far, but one or two cloudy days we felt a little cold. It takes about one ton of soft coal ia year, but it costs nearly twice as much as in Culver or Plymouth. Of rnnrcp

It is cheaper at some distance, from $100 uncultivated to $1,000 in orang es, but it is rising very rapidly as this will be the center of the universe by the opening of the 21st century. Corn will grow here, hut the land is too high-priced to raise it on. It looks good to my eyes in some of the gardens. Some was raised here 14 feet high with ears accordingly. finished nicely within. The roughness without soon looks good when you get used to it, and you would not exchange it for the smooth outer finish of the East. The school buildings and churches of Los Angeles are mostly frame, only the larger or richer being brick or stone. We have 23 christian churches in the city. Painters, get from $2 o ?3.ö0 and $4 per day according to their art and vouth and steady nerve and a- w ability to do a fine finish within.
Youth is, demanded, but I got in on! my hustle, and anybody can anywhere. Plenty of work if you are a humdinger. I corresponded four years for a church in California anywhere, and got within 2,200 miles of getting one. I came out without a".iy prcspect of anything to do in my line of work. I arrived the night of Oct. 10 and at noon on the 18th was the minister of a fine little church, the South Main Street with a living salary at first, with prospects shortly of a great church in a fine growing part of the city, with an income commensurate with all our growing needs. No one should come unless he is tired of the weather back there. No place on earth is as fine as back there in the spring, summer and autumn but oh! those cruel winters. No one should corns! on the word of another unless to try it a year, with the thought that if he hustles h can make expenses while here and perhaps pay his carfare both ways if he concludes to go back. It took me four years to decide for our little family. Los Angeles in 1SS0 had 10.000 people; in 1900 it had 121,000; in 1910 it had 319.000, and now it has 400.000. In 1920 they count on! 1.000.000. and bv the end of the! century they look for it to be the metropolis of the universe. To he north and east the mountains tower 2Ö miles away; to the south and west, 13 miles away, the ocean rrll- ; and tosses on forever. Surrounded on all sides bv rich soil and a thousands from Japan, India. Russia Indiana and the islands of the seas. Nine years asro there were 14 Christian preachers in Indianapolis. Three of us now have churches in or near Los Angeles. Progressive thought is in the air. Japanese Buddhist temples, Christian Science temples. Spiritualist churches and 23 Christian churches, with all else you can think about, fill the citv with worshiners. Recall of judges, initiative ' , and referendum are here, and Mrs. Sheppard will vote for president in 1912. I can write only one such letter to a county, so have it printed in the Culver Citizen and the Plymouth RepubPean and thus scatter it broadcast over old Marshall. Nathan Hoyt Sheppard. Above is a good picture of the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence I. Lee at 427 Sophia street, Plymouth. Mr. Lee made the cement blocks for this house and built it a year ago last summer. It is not an expensive house but shows in a good way the neatness and beauty that can be put into a home made of cement blocks. Mr. Lee is one of the youngest cement men of Plymouth and his work has been of such a high character that he is rapidly taking the front rank among contractors of this community. He has done a large amount of cement walk work, and his name on them indicates a thoroughly good and lasting walk. ment work that anybody wants done. He has building blocks for sale. In this work he carries fully thirty different kinds of blocks, in size, face and styles. He also makes a fine banister block. Mr. Lee has been in the cement business for the past five years. He is perhaps the youngest cement contractor in Plymouth, being only twenty-five years old. In November 1907, he married Miss Bertha Beagles, one of the school teachers of the county, and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anderson Beagles. They have two boys, who are already old enough to be interested in the cement business.
