The elections are over, and now we
know who will represent Virginia in the
next congress. There are four anti

Of radical anti-proclamationists there are six. viz: Messrs. Gordon, Gholson, Patton, Randolph. Davenport, and Fay-

Messrs. Archer, Mason, Lovall. and
COUNTERFEIT NOTES. Counterfeit 5 d liar notes on ihe Lancaster Ohio Bank are in extensive circu
lation in all parts of that state. They are
said to be well executed and well calcula
ted to deceive. Thev are dated January
30, 1828, payable to J. W. Ueese and
Gill the color of the paper is lighter than that of the genuine notes, and is a little
tinged with a yellow, more like that of the
earlier issues; this is particular obvious in
looking at the back of the note.
It is also rumored that counterifeit $3
notes on the same bank are in circulation
We would advise our citizens to be care
ful of receiving notes of these denomina tions on this bank.
Great preparations are making in several of the principal cities and towns in New England, for the reception of President Jackson, during his contempleted summer tour.
