This subject was made the special or der of the day in ihe senate yesterday, and the principal part of th day was occupied in its consideration. Three hills are now before the senate. One ol them was introduced some time ago by Mr. Fairington, from the select commit tee to which was referred that part oi the govenors metsnge relating to the subject, which, in its prominent provisions, is similar to the bill which has received the sanction of the house of representatives. Another one was introduced some days ago by Mr. Ewing, and differs from the bill above named in several imporiant particulars, but especially in that part which relates to the connexion between the state hank and the branches, the latttr bill making the'

So extensive has this spirit prevailed, since the adjournment of the Legislature, that we are informed It has hitherto been found impossible for the Executive even to acknowledge the receipt of Ihe numerous communication, received from volunteers. We hope shortly to he able to givo more detailed information on this subject. In the mean time we congratulate the country upon the nobla spirit displayed hy the people of South Carolina at this interesting crisis.
