IE-D-I-T-O-R-I -A-L | UMMMMHAmwiUiiailiii^^ Primary Election Day is Tuesday, May 8. This is an important day in Indiana as it is the day the candidates for the fall elections are selected. That makes this week equally as important. This is the last week a person can register to be eligible to vote in the primary. This filing must be done in the County Courthouse unless other arrangements are made, and this extra service has not been offered at this primary elec- ^ tion time. Many persons pass up a primary election. Several reasons govern this such as lack of interest, failure to register, or in some cases because they have to claim a party at this time. The lack of interest is very bad. The interested candidate file with hopes of support. It. is as important to choose the right man to represent the party in May as it is to elect him in September. Failure to registei is unnecessary and the obje< tion to claiming a party is ridiculous. Registration can lapse if an individual moves from state, county or precinct. Also a person can 1" e their registration it they fail to vote in elections and then must register again. Along with this are some important dates as well. April 8. First day a voter absent Os expecting to be absent, ami entitled to vote as an ab. sentee may make application to clerk of circuit court for an absent voter’s primary ballot. April 24, as .soon as available but. not later than this date the county election board must mail primary ballots to absent voters who have made application. Apiil 28, First day a voter may personally procure and vote an absent voter’s primary ballot. May 5, Last day the county election board may mail absent voter's ballots. May 8, PRIMARY ELECTION DAY. 6:00 a in. to 6:00 p.nu SENIOR HIGH GROUP The Presbyterian Senior High is coming along nicely. They have many things planned. Next Saturday, April 7th. they will meet at the church and then go to the State Theater in South Bend, leaving the church at 6:00. They have also been making plans for a camping trip soon. And in this Lenten season, they are working toward becoming better Christians and will take jMirt in the Sunrise Service and breakfast. Next Sunday. April Bth, they will meet at the church for the worship and lesson by Betty Reed and Ix'on Dipert is in charge of refreshments. If you are interested in a deeper fellowship and closer walk with the Lord, you are invited to attend. The man who lives to get even is courting an expensive luxury.
