It wa- elablishod in with tw os the local pastors it that time being very ms rumentai in its organization. The purpose is to give the kids a planned and enjoyable m ming of fun following the prom to keep them in town under chaperoned jurisdiction. The all-night parties on the bea< he-' keeping them off the roads at these late hours and the other Undesirable adventures were t > be eliminated by this It was strong, ly supported by the local organization* and various people who made it possible through money and donations of other items to carry out the plans. Now, the Walkerton High School is faced with a problem. Last year a great number of students t r ok the plcasxire of skipping school for part of the day of the prom Thin wa 8 even cncouraged by many parents who actually came after their children so they could get their hair don© or get the rented evening clothes they had planned to wear.
