U alkerton Farmers Hold Plow Day Thirty-five area farmers attended the Plow Adjustment Field pay held by the Walkerton adi.it Farmer Class on Monday afternoon. Sept. 26. The fjeld day. which was held at the John Ftahly farm in Johnson Township. LaPortc County, was designed tq aid farmers in making satisfactory plow adjustments. On hand to provide assistance were Milan Levett. Allis-Chal-mers blockman, Jerry Stoner, Walkerton A-C dealer, and Bill Ixrwry, who represented Gardner Implement Company, also of Walkerton. Bill Blaisdell. Walkerton Vo-Ag teacher, welcomed the gro p f r the field day and introduce 1 Mr. Levett, who spoke to the ^.vrir for about half an hour describing common plow malfunctions and corrective action necessary l^it---Mr. Levett and Mr. Lowry worked with each farmer on his own equipment in order to major pnopWalkerton Independent Robert r- FTMn. After the contest team members watched as Purdue and UCLA battled to n 27-27 tie in Purdues first football game of the a- .von. In addit: n to the ball game, an extra treat was provided the group as they s,w and heard 10.000 high school baiulsmen perform at halftime.
